lucio's round two

right after pancakes, it was back to lucio's for round two.

good as his word, lucio served us a completely new menu on tuesday.

ostriche naturale
sydney rock oysters from merimbula, new south wales

carpaccio di pesce con olio piccante e carciofi fritti
ocean trout carpaccio with habanero chilli oil and fried artichokes

insalata caprese con prosciutto
buffalo mozarella caprese wiht prosciutto di parma

fiori di zucchini fritti
lightly fried zucchini flowers

scampi alla griglia
grilled scampi

pappardelle di zafferano con frutti di mare
saffron pappardelle with mixed seafood

taglioni alla granseola
fine green noodles with blue swimmer crab

filetti di pesce in guazzetto di vongole e pomodoro
grilled leatherjacket served wtih clam and tomato broth

pesce del giorno
grilled mulloway with eggplant puree and asparagus

wilted english spinach with lemon dressing

shall leave that to your imagination - didn't manage to get photos :(

but i did capture dessert!

home made vanilla ice cream drowned in hot espresso coffee and a shot of amaretto di saronno liquer, sprinkled with amaretti

goats curd & lemon tart with poached quince


and tell a lie, we also repeated the chocolate & prune pudding, and the roasted pear from dessert the first day. but only because it was so darn good!

after lunch, we had to walk to the galleries in paddington in a futile attempt at digestion.
